Aerosud introduced Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Laminate production as part of the Industrialisation of the A400M program.

Current production techniques include the use of Glass-PPS consolidated sheets. A variety of part numbers are manufactured, using matched-die tool sets, as well as metal-silicon rubber tools. A number of other materials have also been screened, including Carbon-PEI and Aramid-PEI, and Carbon-Peek.

Current production machinery can manufacture parts up to 1.0 m x 2.0 m in size, depending on the forming depth required.
